Diagnosis
The wings are a rather ochreous fawn-brown, the basal half of the forewing being darker and separated from the distal half by a straight boundary that passes through the reniform stigma. There is an oblique dark brown bar on the forewing costa at about three-quarters, and the submarginal is rather more regular and linear than in other species, being straight over its anterior third. The pale fawn markings at the margin of the hindwing are more extensive, less divided than in other species.
Geographical range
N.E. Himalaya, Vietnam (Zilli, 1999), Thailand (VK), Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, Philippines, Sulawesi, Seram.
Habitat preference
Records have been made from the lowlands to 1930m, but perhaps more frequently in lowland and lower montane forest up to 1000m.
