Diagnosis
The forewing facies and the yellow-bordered, blackish hindwing are distinctive. There is some sexual dimorphism, the medial zone being more prominent and paler in the larger female.
Geographical range
Sundaland.
Habitat preference
All four specimens taken in recent surveys are from lowland forest; a further one taken on G. Trus Madi in Sabah was from just over 500m.
Biology
Yunus & Ho (1980) recorded the species as feeding on Coffea (Rubiaceae), and there is an unpublished record of Macaranga (Euphorbiaceae) at FRIM.
