Diagnosis
This and the next species are very similar, with ochreous and dark brown markings on a pure white ground.
In smarti the dark brown markings are stronger and the ochreous band on the hindwing narrower.
Geographical range
Borneo.
Habitat preference
The species was described from a series taken in upper montane forest on G. Kinabalu with one paratype from G. Murud.
It has since been taken at similar altitudes (1620-2000m range) on G. Mulu in Sarawak and Bukit Pagon and Bukit Retak in Brunei.
