Diagnosis
The large size and strikingly marked green and brown forewings distinguish this species from other Bornean apameine Amphipyrinae.
Taxonomic Notes
The species is more strikingly contrasted in forewing pattern than the type species and the very similar (possibly conspecific)
Habitat Preference
This species is usually only abundant in upper montane forest (above 1000m) but a few individuals have been taken in lowland forest in Brunei.
