♂ (paratype)

Chasmina coremata Holloway sp. n.

♂♀ 18-21mm. The wings have an even (or stronger at the tornus) row of minute dots on the vein ends at the margin, though these are absent in some specimens and less evident on the hindwings. In the male abdomen the eighth sternite is narrow with lateral coremata and the tergite is broad, short, with a transverse central lacuna. The valves are narrow, tapering over the apical half as in tibialis Fabricius, but are not much longer than the tegumen rather than extending well beyond it; tibialis lacks coremata. The juxta has lateral horn-like processes as in tibialis. Coremata are otherwise only seen in C. basiflava Holloway and in a taxon from Java (slide 14220) where the uncus is more sinuous, the valves much broader, not tapering, and the juxta considerably smaller.
