Caulocera xantholopha Hampson

Caulocera xantholopha Hampson, 1900, Cat. Lepid. Phalaenae Br. Mus., 2: 529.

See the generic description and Figs 5a-c. The forewing costa is strongly bowed towards the base and tinged more strongly with brown at that point. The rest of the forewing is variegated with pale brown with an obtusely angled white fascia in the postmedial area. A pale yellowish brush of scales emerges from under the dorsum of the forewing, and the dorsum of the hindwing is folded upwards. The forewing tornus is slightly yellowed, and the scales at the tornal margin are more robust and elongate. The specimen is exceedingly fragile and barely attached to its pin, so dissection has not been attempted.
