Diagnosis
The cubital and anal veins of the forewing are more strongly arched than in other species; the pale yellow suffusion of the transparent patches of the wings is diagnostic. The abdomen is ringed yellow on each segment as in the previous species.
Taxonomic notes
The signum of the female genitalia is typical of Caeneressa. The Sumatran female seen has more extensive pale areas on the forewings.
Geographical range
Borneo, Sumatra.
Habitat preference
Only the holotype female is known for Borneo, from Sandakan in eastern Sabah.
