Bosara festivata Warren comb. n.
Gullaca festivata Warren, 1903, Novit. zool., 10: 266.
Diagnosis
The wings are a pale orange-brown, only slightly fasciated except in a darker brown zone just basal to the anterior part of the forewing postmedial and in a small subapical patch on the costa.
Taxonomic Notes
The single Bornean female matches well one from Bali in genitalia, but a Bali male has somewhat different genitalia from the holotype from Sulawesi: in the former the valve is slightly broader, shorter, with the base of the sacculus less lobed and the angular process on the ventral margin slightly more distally placed. A female from Seram has the ductus slightly shorter and the sclerotised, basal appendix bursae and the bursa itself broader.
Geographical Range
Sulawesi, Seram (slide 12657); Bali, Borneo.
