Diagnosis

The postmedials and antemedials are well separated on both wings, with a broad, relatively immaculate green area between them on the forewing. The fasciae are continuous though irregular in course, rather than broken.

Taxonomic Notes

The taxon olivescens is best placed as an eastern subspecies of albiplaga, being a brighter green with similar but reduced white fasciation. The male genitalia have a similarly complex juxta and serrate lobe to the sacculus, but the apex of the latter is more rounded. The bilobed margin of the eighth sternite is also similar.

Geographical Range

N.E. Himalaya, Borneo, Sumatra, Java, Bali; New Guinea, S. Moluccas.

Habitat Preference

Two out of three Bornean specimens seen are from lowland localities in dipterocarp forest and dry heath forest. The third specimen is from 600m on Mt. Trus Madi.
