Batracharta divisa Wileman
Batracharta divisa Wileman, 1914, Entomologist, 47: 221.
Diagnosis
The general size and facies are similar to those of nigritogata except the forewing is marked blackish with only a hint of indigo or brown. The 8-shaped area is much more extensive than in nigritogata, restricting the area of the surrounding zone, which has coarser and more irregular variegation; the border of the ‘8’ is also more irregular.
Taxonomic note
The holotype (Taiwan) has darker forewings than material from Sundaland, and a series from Sulawesi has them even more contrasted, with the hindwings also paler.
Geographical range
Taiwan, Thailand (VK), Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia, Sulawesi.
Habitat preference
The only Bornean specimen seen is from an area of disturbed lowland forest at 30-60m near Labi in Brunei.
