♀ (paratype, Peninsular Malaysia)

Auzatellodes theafundum Holloway sp. n.

♂♂ 8-9mm. This species is significantly smaller than hyalinata, with brown, rather than grey-brown, markings. These are typical of the genus, though the medial band of the forewing is broad, transverse rather than oblique, extending further distally, particularly anteriorly. The male genitalia have broad, triangular, setose socii. The valve processes are small, digitate, also setose. The saccus is minute, flanked by triangular sclerotised areas within the intersegmental membrane. The eighth sternite is wide with sinuous, hooked apodemes that support apically rugose distal processes. The abdominal characters thus show some similarity with those of Hyalostola.
