Diagnosis
Only females are known. The species is larger than paritalis, having dark brown forewings with a slightly paler costa. There is a dark fascia in a similar position to that of paritalis; this is sharply whitened in one specimen. The hindwings are much paler brown, particularly over the basal half, and there is a fine, faintly darker, straight fascia just beyond the centre.
