Anomis lyona Swinhoe comb. rev.
Cosmophila lyona Swinhoe, 1919, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (9), 3: 312.
Diagnosis
Geographical range
Indo-Australian tropics east to Australia, New Caledonia and Norfolk I and north to Okinawa I. (Sugi, 2003).
Habitat preference
The only Bornean material seen is from Pulo Laut, a low-lying island to the south-east of the main part of Borneo.
Biology
Gardner (1947) could not distinguish the larvae of lyona and flava, so the description of the latter probably also applies to the former. It is likely also that host plant records for the two are intermingled. Sugi (2003) noted Sida (Malvaceae) as the host plant on Okinawa.
