Zolotuhin (2007) revised Mustilia Walker, placing dierli and relatives in Mustilizans Yang. He extended the range of typical dierli into S. Burma, central Thailand and Vietnam, and described ssp. refugialis Zolotuhin from N. Thailand, N. Vietnam and the Chinese province of Yunnan.
